BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Pirjo Friedman D.D.S.

A native of Finland, Pirjo Friedman graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Turku, Finland, in 1977.

Before opening her practice, in Toronto, in 1997 she practiced in Finland and Jerusalem, Israel. In 1995 she held the position of Instructor, Biomaterials at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Toronto, and from 1997 to 2000 she was an Instructor in the Review of Dentistry course there. Previous to this she held the position of Instructor, Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Friedman has continuously added to her dental and therapeutic qualifications, having continued her education through courses including: hypnosis in dentistry; forensic dentistry; and quality management. She has studied “Mind & Body Medicine” with Deepak Chopra M.D. and she has participated in many of Dr. Chopra’s seminars and workshops including: his first-ever on  “SyncroDestiny”,  held in LaJolla, CA; The Journey into the Boundless, held in Toronto, Canada; and Seduction of the Spirit, held in Ghoa, India.

A mother of three daughters and fluent in four languages, she is a seasoned traveller; a certified, level II ski instructor; sailing enthusiast, horseback rider, black belt in Kung Fu, and Reiki Master.

A past president of the North Toronto Dental Society and the Women Entrepreneurs of Canada (WEC). She has represented WEC at several World Congresses.

Other professional affiliations include: The Finnish Dental Association; The Israel Dental Association; The American Society of Forensic Odontology; The American Academy of Forensic Sciences; The Medical Legal Association; and The Bay-Bloor Business Association.
